The results on the commercial trial on Cassava also known as Tapioca, Manioc, and Yuca we conducted with one of the leading cassava starch manufacturing plants here in the Philippines is quite significant.
1) Trail 1 16.7 More Tons Per Hectare, Total was 68.4 MT Per Hectare
In Area 1 with Soysoap, the yield was 4.56 Kgs per plant while for areas without Soysoap, the yield was 3.45. In terms of potential yield per hectare at an average plant population of 15,000 plants, the yield in Area 1 with Soysoap is estimated to be 68.4 tons compared with areas without Soysoap at 51.7 tons or an increase of 16.7 tons per hectare.
2) Trail 2 36.5 More Tons Per Hectare, Total was 83.4 MT Per Hectare
In Area 2 where the yield registered the highest, the areas with Soysoap are estimated to have 83.4 tons compared to areas without Soysoap of 46.9. In Area 2, production almost doubled with the application of Soysoap.
The national average yield per hectare is 9.00 MT per hectare. Hope we have enlightened you on the results of the trial.
Method of application for Soysoap /Paradiso Green!
Land Preparation: During land preparation place 20-30 sacks of chicken manure or 15-20 sacks of organic basal fertilizer before planting.
Prior to planting, wash the cassava cuttings or stalks thoroughly and soak the cuttings/stalks s of cassava in 94 ml. of Soysoap mixed to 32 liters of non-chlorinated (2 spray loads) water within 2-4 hours.
Step 1 – Spray the cassava cuttings/stalks after planting with the soaked mixture and add (5) more spray loads of the same mixture i.e 47 ml. is to 16 liters of non-chlorinated water. Consume the soaked mixture which is two (2) spray loads plus the additional 5 spray loads over the plantings- 1st application.
Step 2 - 2nd application is 15 DAP at the rate of 47 ml per 16 liters of water of non-chlorinated water. Mix 8 times, spray and consume the (8) spray loads over the plantings.
Step 3 – 3rd application is 30 DAP at the rate of 47 ml per 16 liters of water of non-chlorinated water. Mix 8 times, spray and consume the (8) spray loads over the plantings.
Step 4 – 4th application is 60 DAP at the rate of 47 ml per 16 liters of water of non-chlorinated water. Mix nine (9) times, spray and consume the nine (9) spray loads over the plantings.
Note: Spray the leaf sheaths and base. For better effect, spray early morning. No need for “sticker” as the product has adhesive property already.
