The alarming fact is that food (fruit, vegetables and grains) now being raised on millions of acres of land that no longer contain enough of certain minerals are starving us -- no matter how much of them we eat, no man today can eat enough fruit and vegetables to supply his system with minerals he requires for perfect health because his stomach isn't big enough to hold them. The truth is that our foods vary enormously in value, and of they aren't worth eating as food. Our physical well being is more directly dependant upon the minerals we take into systems than upon calories or vitamins or upon the precise proportions of starch, protein or carbohydrates we consume." These startling decreases in the nutritional values over the 43 year period are stark evidence that the quality and effectiveness of fertilizers methods, we are using are incapable of keeping up with our frequency of cropping.
